Jotaro Kujo's hidden power

Postby TaKaHaN » Sun Mar 15, 2015 1:18 am

Personally I feel that Jotaro might be a Hamon user.
His Hamon come in as something natural and is not as strong as Joseph's or Jonathan's
the Hamon gives Jotaro peak human endurance even to the level of fast recovery.
Evidence
1)according to Jotaro school mate, Jotaro had never got injured in a fight.
2)when Alexis turn Jotaro into a kid, even in his kid form, he is able to throw punches that exceed normal adult's.
3)Jotaro took a lot of damage during his confrontation with Dio, however he is still able to continue fighting.
I assume that Hamon heal Jotaro(not instantly like crazy diamond, but at least at a fast rate)
4)during a few fight scene, Jotaro sprout blood, but after the fight, he is healed.

What I think is that Jotaro isn't able to manipulate Hamon energy, however he has a natural talent on hamon, while he isn't able to control it or even aware of it, his natural Hamon heal him fast , and give him peak human strength and endurance.

I don't think he does.

If Holy didn't have any Ripple breathing talent, it's doubtful Jotaro would've.

That's a bad argument. George Joestar II wasn't proficient either, yet Joseph could produce Ripple since his youth.

The manga outright says that Jotaro has no Ripple.

I don't remember the manga mention anything about jotaro having no ripple.
However I remember that Joseph once mention that stands is an evolution of Hamon at the beginning of part 3.
It could be Joseph own assumption or Araki totally forget about it and change the concept as the story goes by.

Anyone think Jotaro looked like Joseph in the beginning of Part 3?

No he looked positively broody and angry, the exact contrary of Joseph.

I've always had a thought though:

Because Stands are the peak form of the Ripple (thanks to one line at the start) that means that all Stand users have some sort of relation to the Ripple abilities...

I'm going to link the Ripple healing powers to Stand Users. Because every freakin' day Jotaro and his buddies get absolutely shredded and come into the next fight feeling completely peachy keen :duwang

Kakyoin's eyes keepin' him out of commission? A normal man with his damage would never recover from the injuries :kakyoinc

That's always what I thought, too. Stand users can take more abuse and heal more quickly than normal, partly because their spirit is partially separated from their bodies and in their Stand.

However, I could see Joseph teaching Jotaro some basics about the Ripple during the journey just in case he needed an extra edge. Again, all just headcanon stuff. But hey, headcanon is fun!

I've always thought it's because it would be lame to have the protagonists lose because they're weakened from the fight two days ago.

there is a translation error in this picture.
The actual text should be
Jotaro is not trained in Hamon,
But has spirit Hamon (the origin name of stand)
